How to Watch Benavidez vs Cieslak

The Glendale show is a PBC pay-per-view event. Fans can watch the broadcast on DAZN through Prime Video, with five bouts featured across the main card.

Benavidez vs Cieslak: Records and Titles

David Benavidez (32-0, 26 KOs) vs Michal Cieslak (28-2, 22 KOs)
WBA, WBO and WBC cruiserweight championships.

Benavidez returns to Arizona for the first time since stopping David Lemieux there in 2022. He claimed two cruiserweight belts on his debut in the division, finishing Gilberto Ramirez in the sixth round in May.

“I’m excited to be fighting in Arizona once again,” Benavidez said. “It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here. I’m gonna give the fans in my home state of Arizona a great performance on December 5.”

Cieslak arrives with seven consecutive stoppage victories. He stopped Jean Pascal in the fourth round in June 2025 to win the interim WBC belt before advancing to full champion.

The Polish fighter intends to leave with all three titles.

“Those who know me understand that I’m not going there just to show up. I will bring all three belts back to Poland after December 5,” Cieslak said.

Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs Keith Thurman

Vergil Ortiz Jr. (24-0, 22 KOs) vs Keith Thurman (31-2, 23 KOs)
Middleweight, 12 rounds.

Ortiz and Thurman meet at 160 pounds (72.6 kg) in the chief support bout. Ortiz last fought in November 2025, stopping Erickson Lubin in the second round after previously outpointing Israil Madrimov and Serhii Bohachuk.

“Being the co-main for Benavidez is an honor as I respect him equally as a fighter and a person,” Ortiz said. “It’s gonna be a great night of boxing and overall I’m just happy to be active again.”

Thurman returns after losing to Sebastian Fundora in March. The former unified welterweight champion has beaten Shawn Porter, Danny Garcia and Robert Guerrero, and now tackles another opponent with a heavy knockout record.

“I’m back with a vengeance!” Thurman said.

“I fight the best and the gladiator in me is not done yet. Get ready, Christmas is coming early.”

Vargas, Romero and Tszyu Complete the PPV Lineup

Emiliano Vargas: Super lightweight, 10 rounds.

Vargas features in a division capped at 140 pounds (63.5 kg). His appearance adds another member of the Vargas fighting family to a card headlined by Benavidez’s Arizona return.

Marco Romero: Middleweight, eight rounds.

Romero returns in an eight-round contest at 160 pounds (72.6 kg), joining Ortiz and Thurman as another middleweight attraction on the bill.

Nikita Tszyu: Super welterweight, eight rounds.

Tszyu makes his US debut in the opening PPV bout. The Australian competes at super welterweight, where the division limit is 154 pounds (69.9 kg).

  1. The co-main Ortiz Jr. versus Keith Thurman at middleweight is significant: Ortiz remains an active knockout artist, whereas Thurman is pursuing a comeback against top opposition. The undercard adds depth with Nikita Tszyu making his U.S. debut and Emiliano Vargas representing another Vargas family appearance.

  2. Benavidez versus Cieslak is a genuine unification contest: Benavidez enters 32-0 with 26 KOs after moving up and securing WBA and WBO belts, while Cieslak brings a seven-fight stoppage streak as WBC champion. Location, power, and styles make this pivotal for the 200-pound division.

  3. The PPV is available on DAZN through Prime Video, starting at 8pm ET / 5pm PT / 1am GMT, and features five main-card fights. Check regional availability and confirm the Prime Video channel purchase. Tickets for Desert Diamond Arena are sold via Ticketmaster.
