The Fastest Leap of Jake Paul’s Career

Jake Paul enters what many see as the most dangerous fight of his career. His popularity, showmanship, and ability to reinvent modern boxing have pushed him into the spotlight, but now he’s staring at the biggest challenge of his journey: Anthony Joshua, a heavy hitter whose résumé spans global fame, unified belts, and massive stadium shows.

This will be Paul’s second Netflix main event in just over a year—his win over Mike Tyson in November 2024 shattered streaming records.

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 21 at 12pm ET via Ticketmaster, with presale available at jakevsjoshua.com. Premium access packages include MVP’s VIP experiences.

How Did This Even Become Real?

The First Showdown: Their Kickoff Press Conference

Paul and Joshua meet face-to-face for the Judgment Day Kickoff Press Conference on Friday, November 21 at 1pm ET at the Kaseya Center. Free, open to the public, and streamed on MVP’s YouTube channel and Netflix Sports’ YouTube channel.

Journalist Ariel Helwani will host the event.

What Jake Paul Says He’s About to Do

The Challenger With Unshakable Confidence

Jake Paul stated:

“A professional heavyweight fight against an elite world champion in his prime. When I beat Anthony Joshua, every doubt disappears. To the people of the United Kingdom, I’m sorry. On December 19, under the lights in Miami, live globally only on Netflix, the torch gets passed and Britain’s Goliath goes to sleep.”

Joshua’s Response and What’s Really at Stake

Joshua’s Road Back to Dominance

Anthony Joshua steps into this fight after a run that includes victories over legends like Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, and Francis Ngannou. He most recently fought Daniel Dubois at Wembley in front of 96,000 fans.

Joshua said:

“Jake or anyone can get this work. No mercy. I’m coming back with a mega show, big fights, big numbers. I’m about to break the internet over Jake Paul’s face.”

The Dealmakers Explain How This Fight Became Reality

MVP’s View on the Risk and Reward

Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of MVP, said the fight materialized far earlier than expected:

“Joshua has every advantage except one — the extreme belief Jake Paul has in himself. If anyone can shock the world, it’s him. This is a global clash between Jake, the face of boxing’s new era, and Joshua, the King of UK boxing.”

Netflix’s Perspective on Why It Matters

Gabe Spitzer, Netflix’s VP of Sports, added:

“Joshua remains one of the toughest heavyweights alive. Jake taking this shows how fearless he is. This is exactly why Netflix is in the live arena: big swings, huge spectacles.”

Eddie Hearn’s Brit-to-Brit Message

“Two of the biggest names in boxing will collide. Jake has courage, but he’ll find out the hard way in Miami.”

More updates—undercards, co-main information—will drop soon.
