Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz and Lamont Roach are set to scrap on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. It’s a proper fight with serious weight behind it — a make-or-break super lightweight clash for the Interim WBC Title.
The bout headlines a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) card, streamed live on Prime Video Pay-Per-View, and also available on cable, satellite, and PPV.com.
Cruz vs. Roach isn’t just another stay-busy fight — it’s two of Gervonta “Tank” Davis’s toughest opponents finally crossing paths. Both gave “Tank” hell in their own scraps, and whoever comes out on top here lines themselves up nicely for another crack at Davis or a big-money shot at the top lads at 140.
Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz at 140 Pounds
After smashing Rolly Romero in March with an eighth-round TKO, Cruz (28-3-1, 18 KOs) has looked reborn at super lightweight. The Mexico City warrior’s been in savage form — he bounced back from the Valenzuela loss by flattening Angel Fierro and outworking Omar Salcido.
Cruz fights like he’s got a grudge with the air around him — always marching forward, heavy hands flying. He’s one of the very few to take Gervonta Davis the full distance, and he did it going toe-to-toe. His list of victims includes Yuriorkis Gamboa and Diego Magdaleno, plus tough wins over Francisco Vargas and Giovanni Cabrera.
“I love being in the main event with the WBC title on the line. It truly motivates me to give the fans their money’s worth. I love San Antonio because the fans there are amazing. I’m dedicating this fight to my wife and my sons, and will leave everything in the ring for them and for Mexico!” — Isaac Cruz
Lamont Roach: The D.C. Technician
Lamont Roach (25-1-2, 10 KOs) from Washington, D.C. isn’t showing up to play second fiddle. He lifted the WBA Super Featherweight World Title in 2023 after outpointing Hector Luis Garcia and hasn’t looked back. In March, he stepped in with Gervonta Davis at lightweight and battled to a draw — not many can say that.
Roach is sharp, smart, and doesn’t waste punches. He’s got that amateur pedigree — 11 national titles and a Golden Gloves crown — and fights like it. Since his only loss to Jamel Herring in 2019, he’s boxed tidy wins over Angel Rodriguez and Feargal McCrory, and now he’s chasing glory up a division.
“The mission is still the same as always, beat his ass. The results are gonna be the same, belt to ass, no matter who’s on the other side.” — Lamont Roach
