Schofield vs Rhodes – DAZN – July 8 – 7 pm ET

Floyd “Kid Austin” Schofield (14-0, 11 KOs) is the new main event star for tonight’s fight event.  Schofield, one of Golden Boy’s rising prospects, will have his moment under the Texan sky in what promises to be a thrilling 10-round lightweight fight, Schofield will defend his WBA International Title against Haskell “Hackman” Rhodes (28-4-1, 13 KOs) from Las Vegas, Nevada. This clash replaces the previously slated match between the undefeated knockout sensation Vergil Ortiz, Jr. (19-0, 19 KOs) and World Champion Eimantas Stanionis (14-0, 9 KOs). The DAZN broadcast starts rolling at 7:00 p.m. CT/5:00 p.m. PT.

Joseph “JoJo” Diaz (32-4-1, 15 KOs) will engage in a 10-round lightweight bout against Harbor City, California’s own Jerry Perez (14-2-1, 11 KOs), serving as the chief supporting fight.

WBA, WBC, and Ring Magazine World Champion Marlen Esparza (13-1, 1 KOs) of Houston, Texas, will suqare  off against the WBO World Champion from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Gabriela Alaniz (14-0, 6 KOs) in a 10-round flyweight duel. Who will emerge victorious?

Romanian-American hopeful Eric Tudor (8-0, 6 KOs) from Fort Lauderdale, Florida will lock horns with Reggie Harris, Jr. (7-3, 3 KOs) from Ann Arbor, Michigan, in an eight-round super welterweight clash.

The prelims will feature Tristan Kalkreuth (10-1, 7 KOs) from Duncanville, Texas, facing off against Joe Jones (13-8, 10 KOs) from Jersey City, New Jersey in a six-round cruiserweight contest. Is Kalkreuth ready to silence his critics?

In the opening act, promising light heavyweight Darius “DFG” Fulghum (5-0, 5 KOs) from Houston will challenge Jeremiah Curtright (2-1, 2 KOs) from Saint Charles, Missouri, in a six-round bout.
