Their previous face-off in January witnessed Smith triumphing with two spectacular knockdowns, bringing the energetic brawl to a halt just one minute into the fourth round. Eubank Jr, unsatisfied with the referee’s decision and resolute to overturn his defeat, promptly invoked the rematch clause and entered an extended training camp, focusing on delivering a setback to his Liverpool rival.

In response to the new date, Smith commented, “I’m glad that the date is set now and we can look forward to getting rid of this itch that needs scratching. I’m fully healed up now, injury-free, and I’m looking forward to ending Chris Eubank Jr’s career on September 2nd.”

BOXXER’s promoter and CEO, Ben Shalom, stated, “The rivalry between Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr has rapidly evolved into one of the most heated in British boxing. Their January encounter was one of BOXXER’s most thrilling. We anticipate tickets to sell out quickly as fans scramble to witness what is sure to be another incredible bout.”

Echoing this sentiment, Kalle Sauerland, Global Head of Boxing at Wasserman Boxing, said, “Good things come to those who wait, and so the postponements will only make victory that bit sweeter for Chris when he finally confronts Liam Smith on September 2. Chris has shown immense patience and discipline, and his conversations over the last few weeks reveal a laser-focused intent on setting the record straight. We expect Chris to deliver a sizzling performance.”

Undercard Fights:

Mikaela Mayer is getting ready to step back into the squared circle for what promises to be an exciting clash with Italy’s Silvia Bortot. They will engage in a 10-round junior welterweight battle on Saturday, Sept. 2, in the pulsing atmosphere of Manchester’s AO Arena. This bout is part of an evening that’s a must-see for fight fans, headlined by the highly anticipated rematch between Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr.

Adam Azim, the dazzling young hope of British boxing, joins the star-studded Smith vs Eubank II pay-per-view card. His mission? To accelerate his path to world-title contention, all while living up to a pledge made to his hero, Amir Khan.

At only 21, Azim is following the footsteps of Khan, who seized his world title at 22. The stakes are high, the ambition sky-rocketing.

“He’s the toughest opponent of my career so far and I’m looking to put on a great performance which shows beyond doubt that I am ready to step up to that next level and start winning some titles.” — Adam Azim

Azim’s challenge is no small feat. His opponent, the dangerous Ukrainian Aram Fanyan (22-1, 4 KO’s), holds almost triple Azim’s professional experience. Fanyan arrives in Manchester with a clear agenda: to halt Azim’s progress and capture the spotlight.

The clash had been postponed due to an infection in Azim’s left hand, but now, fully healed, the super-lightweight standout is eager to mesmerize British fans with another riveting performance.

“Ukraine has produced some great names in boxing. After this fight, Aram Fanyan is the next Ukrainian name the world’s boxing fans will come to know.” — Aram Fanyan

Fanyan sees this as his golden opportunity on a global stage. He’s not just here to compete; he’s here to dominate and open new doors for himself.

“Adam Azim is atalent, and having just turned 21, we’ve still only seen a fraction of what he’s capable of,” reads a statement regarding the fight. A dangerous opponent, a crucial test, and a major stride in Azim’s blossoming career. The future star of boxing is set to make a significant statement.

BOXXER: Smith vs Eubank II – Repeat or Revenge? promises to be a spectacle. Alongside Azim vs Fanyan, the undercard is stacked with thrilling match-ups. Whether it’s the heavyweight clash between Frazer Clarke and Dave Allen or the return of light-heavyweight sensation Ben Whittaker, excitement is in the air.

“Smith got me in the fourth round last January, but that won’t happen again. If he pulls it off, then fine, he’s the better man. But come Saturday, you’re going to see something extraordinary from me.”

Smith’s previous win? Eubank calls it a “miracle,” a term Smith finds laughable.

“Miracle? The only miracle was how effortless that win was,” Smith retorted. “If Eubank slips up again, he’s done for.”

Eubank acknowledged the unique pressure of a rematch after a loss: “It’s a new kind of stress, but I’m actually enjoying the challenge. Can’t wait to see how I’ll react.”

FLORIAN MARKU vs DYLAN MORAN

Marku and Moran’s face-off was electric, with Marku claiming Moran was visibly shaken.

“He was trembling. Watch the footage; you’ll see his legs shaking,” Marku declared.

“I’ll be hunting him down. He might try to box, try to run, but I’ll overpower him.”

Moran laughed it off, “Nervous? Please. I’m the superior boxer. Marku won’t rob me of my lifetime’s work. Saturday night, I’m finishing the job.”

FRAZER CLARKE vs DAVID ALLEN

David Allen aims to upset Olympic bronze medalist Frazer Clarke this weekend.

“I’ve known Frazer since 2012, we’ve sparred a lot. I know what I’m up against, and I’m here because I expect to win,” Allen asserted.

Clarke, with a 7-0 pro record, responded: “The only thing that matters is that my hand is raised at the end. I need to land more punches than he does.”

Clarke also addressed Allen’s claim that he’s the better boxer, saying, “Dave outboxing me? That’s like me saying I’m becoming a Calvin Klein underwear model. Not happening.”

ADAM AZIM vs ARAM FANYAN

Adam Azim, an undefeated prospect, is taking on Aram Fanyan in what is arguably his biggest challenge yet.

Azim stated, “Every fight for me is like a world title match. I’ve got to face tough competition to grow, and my confidence has never been higher. Expect fireworks.”
