Thorslund vs Luna – FITE TV – Sept. 1 – 2pm ET

The stage is set for a blockbuster event at Graakjaer Arena in Holstebro, Denmark, on September 1st. It’s a ‘champion vs champion’ clash featuring Danish sensation Dina Thorslund and Mexican powerhouse Yuliahn Luna Avila. They’ll go toe-to-toe for the WBC, WBO, and the vacant Ring Magazine world women’s bantamweight titles.

Thorslund, age 29, has an unblemished record of 19-0, with eight of those wins coming by knockout. She’s not just defending her WBO title for the fourth time but also gunning to add two more world titles to her resume. On the opposite corner, Luna, also 29, holds the WBC title with a record of 25-3-1, with only four victories via stoppage. Luna’s durability and ability to go the distance might give Thorslund a run for her money in the scheduled 10-round bout.

On the undercard, Brazilian sensation and Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Hebert Conceicao, with a record of 4-0 and 2 KOs, will face off against Polish veteran Robert Talarek, who comes in with a 27-21-3 record and 18 KOs, in a compelling super-middleweight clash.

Adding to the excitement is Irish super-lightweight Steven Cairns (6-3, 3 KOs), who aims to gather steam toward bigger fights. He’ll go head-to-head with Polish fighter Marian Wesolowski, who has a record of 3-7-1 and 3 KOs.

Unbeaten Jacob Bank, one of Denmark’s rising stars with a 10-0 record and 5 KOs, is set to prove his mettle against Montenegrin last-minute replacement Almir Skrijelj, boasting an 18-5 record with 9 KOs, in another super-middleweight faceoff.

Danish lightweight Payman Akbari (7-1-2, 1 KO) will mix it up with Italian Pietro Caputo, holding a 2-2 record with 2 KOs. Nesar Kunduzi (1-0, 1 KO) will engage in a featherweight bout with Georgian Davit Shervashidze, whose record sits at 3-15-1 with 3 KOs.

Rounding out the card, hometown hero Mikkel Gribsholt, making his second appearance with a 1-0, 1 KO record, will face Georgian Bacho Jintcharadze (2-5, 1 KO) in a super featherweight match. Meanwhile, British super-middleweight Brook Eaton looks to make an impactful pro debut against Czech fighter Ester Konecna, who brings a 3-22-2 record with 2 KOs to the ring.
