Baumgardner vs Linardatou – DAZN – July 15 – 10 pm ET
Alycia Baumgardner will defend her undisputed World Super-Featherweight title against Christina Linardatou at The Masonic Temple Detroit in Detroit, Michigan TONIGHT, live worldwide on DAZN – as bitter rivals Richardson Hitchins and Montana Love clash, and Cuban amateur sensation Andy Cruz makes his pro debut.
Baumgardner (14-1 7 KOs) puts all the belts at 130lbs on the line for the second time after a dominant performance over Elhem Mekhaled in New York in February, a first defense in the Big Apple coming after a massive win to claim all the belts in London against fierce rival Mikaela Mayer in October. The big nights just keep coming for ‘The Bomb’ and now it’s home time as she fights in Detroit for the first time in the paid ranks – and has a score to settle against Linardatou, who handed Baumgardner her sole defeat in July 2018.

There’s a unique strength to Baumgardner, an ability to rise despite the odds stacked against her. But the questions, the doubts from the public, they persist. Her journey, however, isn’t daunted by these questioning gazes.
“They paint a picture, you know, oh she’s a pretty girl, can she fight, can she do this? I can do it all. The attention’s on me, and I’m going to continue to show why I am the Undisputed champion at 130,”
she confidently declares in an interview with Matchroom Boxing

- The card will stream live on DAZN
- The fight will take place at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan.

Baumgardner speaks to the thrill of the fight, the electricity of the crowd, and the sweet victory that follows a well-executed knockout.
“Putting my mind there and what this is going to look like…I can just already picture myself in the arena as loud as hell. These people are excited, they’re ready to see the best of the best,”
A crucial part of Baumgardner’s story is her only loss against Christina Linardatou, which she views as a much-needed stepping stone for her growth.
“I remember when I was in the ring that night and her hand was raised and I’m like damn, I got my first loss…It was needed for growth and growth is important,”
Even in defeat, Baumgardner saw the value of her experience. She believes that growth, however painful, leads to success and success is a light at the end of the tunnel.
“I want people to really recognize what growth looks like. It’s ugly, and it hurts, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel and there’s success there as well,”
she passionately emphasizes.
Baumgardner’s story is more than a series of wins and losses. It’s about her journey to the top and the perseverance that fuels her every step.
“I got to see at that given time what it would have looked like if I would have won because I saw her [Christina’s] career…Everything comes back full circle and I’m happy everything played the way it was supposed to play because now I’m back in position as the Undisputed Champion,”
she affirms.
“I keep thinking about how this fight is going to play out in my head over and over and it will be spectacular…I want to punish her…I want her to know that she’s in there with somebody who isn’t the same fighter as I was five years ago,”
Baumgardner’s eyes are set on the future, a future where she aims to fight the best, to make history, and prove to the world the prowess of women athletes.
“I would love a fight with Katie Taylor, Amanda Serrano, Chantelle Cameron…I want all the girls honestly. Like, this is who I am, I’m a fighter. I love a challenge and I’m an athlete,”
Baumgardner proclaims with unshakeable resolve.
